No. The directory is ordered by whichever column you choose, A to Z by default, and there is no paid placement. If a sponsored spot is ever offered it will be clearly labeled, kept apart from the table, and never change pay data or the order of the rows.
Anyone, firm or appraiser, can send a correction with a public link that shows the change, using the request form on the For firms page. The link is checked before a listing is updated, and the "last checked" date moves forward.
A Staff role tag means the only route we could verify at that firm is a staff (W-2) job, not independent work; 4 firms carry it. Staff & independent means the firm offers both. Each firm page links the source for its role type.
