Privacy policy.

The short version

• You can use RosterRank without an account. There are no ads, no analytics scripts and no tracking cookies on this site.
• Pay reports ask for no name, email or login, and contain only fixed choices and numbers.
• If you sign up for updates, your email is used only to send them.
• We don't sell personal information.

Anonymous pay reports

The report form collects: the firm, the state you worked in, the estimating software, the year, pay type and amount, whether mileage was paid, days from invoice to payment, and a confirmation checkbox. It has no free-text fields and asks for no name, email or contact details.

Reports are submitted to and stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider). To block duplicate and spam reports, we keep a scrambled one-way code (a salted hash) made from your IP address and the date, not the IP address itself. The code can't be turned back into your IP address, and it changes every day. Like most web services, the provider may also record technical details such as your IP address and browser type when you submit. We don't use those details to identify anyone, and we don't publish them.

Individual reports are never shown. A firm's figures publish only after 5 separate reports, and published figures are rounded. A state or software breakdown appears only when that group alone has 5 reports.

Please don't include names, claim numbers or carrier details anywhere. If something identifying is submitted by mistake, it will be removed and not published.

Email updates

If you join the update list, we collect your email address and send occasional notes about new firms and when pay figures start publishing. Your address is stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider) and passed to Buttondown, the service that sends the emails, along with the IP address you signed up from so it can screen out spam sign-ups. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for your address to be deleted at any time at rosterrank@mail.grokbot.com.

Listing and correction requests

The firm request form collects a firm name, request type, a public source link and a work email, stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider). The email is used only to reply about that request. Request details are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and keep a record of what changed on a listing.

Visiting the site

The site is static pages with self-hosted fonts and images, so your browser doesn't contact third-party font, ad or analytics services while you browse. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, page requested and time, for security and reliability. To limit spam, each form also keeps a count of submissions per hashed IP address for the current day, and those counts are deleted after two days.

Links to firm websites and job posts open those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your choices

Because pay reports aren't tied to a name or email, we usually can't find a specific report later. For anything else, such as removing your email from the list or asking what we hold about you, contact rosterrank@mail.grokbot.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
